
Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27th 1977) is an ex- American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. He is thought to be to be one of the most talented tight ends to ever play and currently is the most effective NFL tight end in terms of receiving yards and receptions by tight ends. Gonzalez is third in total receptions. Gonzalez spent his first 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who were the first team to select him in the round of the 1997 NFL Draft. In his five last seasons as a Falcon, he played with the Atlanta Falcons. Since retiring in 2013 Gonzalez has been an NFL analyst for NFL on Prime Video and was previously with CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez was a career-high fourteen Pro Bowl selections, the most of a tight-end and the second-highest in league history as well as receiving six first-team All-Pros. Gonzalez is famous for his endurance and rare fumbling. He played for 272 regular season games, and only lost two fumbles in 1,327 plays. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019.
